Support

Last updated: 23 May 2026

Welcome to Progressive Robot Support. This page tells you how to get help with the Site, how to report a problem, how to request a correction, and what to expect from us when you do. We try to reply to all support enquiries within two working days.

1. Choose the right contact

Routing your enquiry to the right inbox is the fastest way to get a useful reply:

By telephone (data-protection matters only): +44 (0) 1244 911212.

2. Reporting a problem with the Site

When something on the Site isn’t working as expected, please send the following to [email protected] so we can reproduce and fix the issue quickly:

  • The full URL of the page where the problem occurs;
  • What you did, what you expected, and what actually happened;
  • The device, operating system and browser you were using (e.g. "iPhone 15, iOS 18, Safari");
  • A screenshot or short screen recording, if you can;
  • The time (with timezone) when the issue happened — this helps us locate it in our logs.

If the problem is intermittent, please tell us roughly how often it happens and whether anything seems to trigger it.

3. Account help

3.1 Sign in

If you cannot sign in, please try a password reset from the sign-in page first. If that does not work, write to [email protected] from the email address registered to the account. We will never ask for your password, and we will not change account details based on a request from a different email address without further verification.

3.2 Change your email or display name

You can update your profile from your account settings. If your registered email address is no longer accessible, write to support from any address and include enough information to prove you are the account holder (for example, the approximate date you created the account and the title of a recent article you have read or commented on).

3.3 Delete your account

You can request deletion of your account by emailing [email protected] from the registered address. We will confirm the request, and unless we are required by law to retain certain information, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Newsletter & notifications

Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link at the foot of the message. Clicking it removes you from that list immediately. If you continue to receive messages after unsubscribing, please forward the most recent example to [email protected] so we can investigate.

You can manage browser push notifications and on-site notification preferences from your account settings, or by adjusting your browser’s notification permissions for our domain.

5. Corrections & right of reply

If you spot a factual error — a misspelt name, a wrong figure, a date that does not match the original source — please email [email protected] with the article URL and the specific passage at issue. Our full process for handling corrections, updates and retractions is set out in the Editorial Policy.

If you are named in an article and want to exercise a right of reply, write to [email protected] with the URL, a brief explanation of your concern, and the statement you would like added.

6. Takedown & copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a notice to [email protected] that includes:

  • Your name, address and contact details;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
  • The exact URL of the allegedly infringing material on our Site;
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.

We respond to properly formed notices promptly. Submitting a knowingly false claim may expose you to liability.

7. Data-protection requests

To exercise your rights under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or any other applicable data-protection law — including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection — please contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. We may ask you for information that helps us confirm your identity before acting on a request. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Security vulnerability disclosure

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability on the Site, please report it privately to [email protected]. We ask that you:

  • Give us a reasonable time to investigate and remediate before any public disclosure;
  • Do not access, modify or delete data belonging to other users;
  • Do not run denial-of-service tests or attempt to degrade availability for other users;
  • Do not attempt social-engineering of our staff.

We will acknowledge legitimate reports, keep you updated on remediation, and credit you in any disclosure if you wish.

9. Service status & planned maintenance

From time to time the Site may be temporarily unavailable for planned maintenance or because of unexpected incidents. We try to keep planned downtime short and out of peak hours. If the Site appears to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again before reporting it — and if it stays down, let us know at [email protected].

10. Response times

We aim to respond to enquiries within two working days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays). Urgent legal and security matters are triaged ahead of general enquiries. Please send each issue in a single message rather than splitting it across several emails — it helps us reply faster.

11. What we cannot help with

Our Support team cannot:

  • Give legal, medical, financial or investment advice;
  • Recover passwords or accounts without verification of identity;
  • Disclose personal data of other users;
  • Comment on ongoing legal proceedings.

12. Feedback

We welcome suggestions for how to make the Site easier to use, more accurate or more useful. Send feedback to [email protected] — we read everything, even if we cannot reply individually.
