Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 May 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Progressive Robot News & Magazine website, currently published at blog.progressiverobot.com ("the Site"), together with any related applications, feeds, newsletters and services we operate (together, the "Services"). The Services are provided by Progressive Robot Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("Progressive Robot", "we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Services you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to register for an account or to submit content to the Services. By creating an account or submitting content, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and up to date.

2. Accounts & Security

Some features of the Services require an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
  • Restricting access to the device(s) on which you are logged in;
  • All activity that takes place under your account, whether or not authorised by you.

You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect your account has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used in breach of these Terms or that appear to have been compromised.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials made available on the Services — including articles, images, graphics, logos, audio, video, the underlying source code and the overall "look and feel" of the Site — are owned by or licensed to Progressive Robot and are protected by copyright, database rights, trade-mark rights and other laws.

You may view, download a single copy and print individual pages for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you do not modify the materials and that all copyright and other proprietary notices are preserved. Any other use — including republication, redistribution, modification, sale, sub-licensing, scraping, mass extraction, training of machine-learning models, or creation of derivative works — requires our prior written consent.

Trade marks, logos and brand names of third parties appearing on the Services are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and reporting purposes only.

4. User-Submitted Content

If you submit comments, contributions, feedback or other material to the Services ("User Content"), you grant Progressive Robot a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute and display that User Content in connection with the Services and our promotional activities.

You warrant that any User Content you submit is your own original work, does not infringe the rights of any third party, and is not unlawful. You must not submit User Content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, deceptive, infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights, promotes illegal activity, or contains malware.

We may, but are not obliged to, review, edit, refuse, or remove any User Content at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or abusive purpose;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, any other user’s account, or any system or network connected to the Services;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services or any associated infrastructure;
  • Submit any material containing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other harmful code;
  • Use automated means (including bots, scrapers, crawlers, headless browsers or AI agents) to access, harvest or copy material from the Services at a scale or rate that imposes an unreasonable load, except where expressly permitted by our robots.txt;
  • Use the Services or any content from the Services to train, fine-tune, evaluate or augment any machine-learning model without our prior written consent;
  • Use the Services to send unsolicited marketing, spam, or chain communications;
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.

6. Editorial Content & AI-Assisted Articles

Articles on the Services may be written entirely by a human, written by a human with the assistance of AI tools, or rewritten from a publicly published source using an AI workflow under editorial supervision. Articles produced through the AI-rewriting workflow carry an inline disclosure near the top of the page. Our full editorial standards — including sourcing, fact-checking, hallucination guardrails, corrections and retractions — are described in our Editorial Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

7. Information & Disclaimer

The content on the Services is provided for general information and journalistic purposes only. It is not, and is not intended to be, legal, medical, financial, investment, tax or other professional advice, and must not be relied on as such. You should obtain appropriate professional advice before acting on any matter covered by the Services.

While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy at the time of publication, we make no warranty that the content will be accurate, complete, current, or free from error. Coverage of fast-moving subjects can be superseded by events; corrections are published in accordance with our Editorial Policy.

8. Third-Party Links & Content

The Services may contain links to, or embeds of, third-party websites, applications, services and content. Those third parties are independent of Progressive Robot. We do not endorse, control or accept responsibility for any third-party content, advertising, products, services or policies, and your interactions with those third parties are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

9. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.

Subject to that paragraph, to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied;
  • We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, including loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity or loss of data, however arising;
  • Our total aggregate liability to any user in respect of all claims arising out of or in connection with the Services in any twelve-month period will not exceed £100.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Progressive Robot, its directors, employees and contractors harmless from and against any claim, loss, liability, demand or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Services in breach of these Terms, (b) any User Content you submit, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to all or part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you are in breach of these Terms, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive — including sections 3, 4, 9, 10 and 14 — will continue to apply.

12. Privacy & Cookies

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, which describe how we collect, use and protect personal data, and how we use cookies and similar technologies.

13. Changes to the Services or these Terms

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page and is identified by the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for a reasonable period. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to resolve any such dispute, except that we retain the right to bring proceedings in any other jurisdiction where you reside or where infringement of our intellectual-property rights is taking place.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that or any other provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy and Editorial Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in respect of the Services.
