Alienware has unveiled its brand new AW2524HF IPS gaming display which incorporates AMD Freesync Premium & a refresh rate of up to 500Hz.

"The World's Fastest IPS Gaming Display" is what Alienware's calling it. The AW2524HF is a 24.5" IPS panel that features a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 (FHD) which places it under the massively popular eSports banner. The display features a Fast IPS panel with Antiglader (3H hardness) and is packed with the following features:

  • Speed: A 500Hz refresh rate (480Hz native) on a Fast IPS panel delivers incredible speed and motion clarity, while AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync certification ensure tear- and stutter-free gaming even in fast-action games. And a low latency gray-to-gray response time of 0.5ms eliminates blur and ghosting for smooth visuals.
  • Color Consistency: The Fast IPS panel allows for consistent visuals from any angle—superior to competing TN panels—and features sRGB 99% color coverage plus enables HDR content with HDR10. The TUV-certified ComfortView Plus hardware-based solution reduces harmful low blue light without compromising true-to-life colors for longer, comfortable gaming.
  • New Design: The built-in retractable headset hanger keeps desks tidy, while the hexagonal base occupies a smaller footprint and can be adjusted with height markers so you can play your way, each time.
  • The main highlight of the Alienware AW2525HF Gaming Display is definitely the 500Hz refresh rate (OC with DP) and 480Hz (Native with DP). It comes with a 400 cd/m2 brightness and a 0.5ms gray-to-gray response time. There's also support for the base-tier HDR 10 technology. As for tech, the display supports AMD Freesync Premium technology and has a pixel density of 90 PPI.

In terms of I/O, you are getting 2 DP 1.4, 1 HDMI 2.1, and 5 USB 3.2 Gen1 ports on the back. The display itself comes with a 178-degree vertical/horizontal viewing angle and supports Tilt, Swivel, Pivot, and Built-in cable management. Alienware targets a 12th September launch date worldwide & a price of $649.99 US for the gaming display.
