Elon Musk petitioned the FTC in May to end its 2022 order restricting Twitter's data use, claiming Twitter no longer exists as X merged with xAI and then SpaceX  —  Critics hope to keep Elon Musk from escaping a strict data-privacy order imposed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) shortly before he took over Twitter.
