This is excluding licensing or Windows as a service and such like that but more from a kernel level standpoint

Would you say the jump from WIN 10 to WIN11 is like the jump from 2000 Pro Pro XP Pro. To me it seems like it though maybe less so especially since Windows 11 does not have an XP SP2 equivalent yet

I would also say the jump from NT 4.0 to 2000 was a much larger jump

And the jump from 2000 or even XP to Vista and 7 was a much larger jump than 10 to 11 or Vista to 7 (excluding of course how poorly Vista was thought of)

The jump from 7 to 8 and 8.1 was kind of like the jump from 2000 to XP or Vista to 7 except in the later case it got worse because 8 and 8.1 UI was absolutely trash where as in former got better but not a huge change in kernel level

I think the biggest changes in Windows NT jumps were NT 4 to 2000. Windows 2000 and XP to Vista/7 and Windows 7 to Windows 10. Though Windows 7 to Windows 10 less so than NT 4 to 2000 and XP to 7 but more so than 2000 to XP...
