Overwatch 10th Anniversary Event Runs Through June 2 With 21 Free Launch Hero Skins

Blizzard's Overwatch 10th Anniversary event runs from May 12 to June 2, 2026, ending at 11 AM PT. It started alongside the latest mid-season patch and gives players about three weeks to claim free rewards, including launch hero skins, Anniversary Loot Boxes, and 2D cosmetics. No Battle Pass is needed, and all rewards are available to all accounts at no cost.

Free Launch Hero Skins and Other Overwatch Anniversary Rewards

Blizzard is offering 21 purple-themed launch hero skins for the original Overwatch roster. The skins are available for characters including Bastion, Cassidy, D.Va, Genji, Hanzo, Junkrat, Lucio, Mei, Mercy, Pharah, Reaper, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Soldier 76, Symmetra, Torbjorn, Tracer, Widowmaker, Winston, Zarya, and Zenyatta.

To obtain the skins, players need to log in during the event and complete quick in-game challenges. Players in China will also receive additional Mythic skins that are not available in the global pool.

Items handed out during the Anniversary event include:

• 15 Anniversary Loot Boxes,
• 33 2D cosmetics such as emotes and victory poses, five weapon charms, including a 10-year edition,
• Anniversary-themed player titles and weekly community rewards are earned through global player wins and completing challenges.

How to Claim Overwatch 10th Anniversary Rewards and Play Returning Arcade Modes

Players need to log in during the event window and play matches to receive login rewards. Weekly Challenges offer additional unlocks, which appear in the career profile once unlocked. Community challenges track global wins, hero selections, and survival times, providing extra drops to all participating players once targets are reached.

The event features returning Anniversary Arcade modes such as Lockout Elimination and Total Mayhem, both offering increased XP during the event period. The Overwatch tenth anniversary celebration will end on June 2, 2026.
