Game of Thrones Dragonfire

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of House of the Dragon on HBO, which isn’t too far away, mind you, you can sate your hunger for dragon warfare with the all-new Game of Thrones: Dragonfire mobile game available on Android and iOS. Launched on June 2, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire drops you right into the conflict that takes place during the Dance of Dragons, a pivotal moment in the Song of Ice and Fire series.

You can raise more than 30 dragons and use them to wage war in an attempt to take and keep the throne for the Targaryens. This is a strategy game, so the combat won’t be as fast-paced and chaotic as one might think or hope it would be, but that shouldn’t make it any less fun. Game of Thrones: Dragonfire also offers both PvE and PvP content. You can battle it out against other players, or stick to the PvE-based campaigns that let you follow the story. The latter is likely the mode of choice for those who are huge fans of the Song of Ice and Fire narrative.

Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is a free-to-play game

Free-to-play games end up with a bad reputation much of the time because let’s face it, there’s a lot of slop out there in the free game category. That being said, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire doesn’t appear to be one of those games. It does offer in-app purchases, though, so hopefully they aren’t to heavy-handed and force you to buy time or other resources to speed up dragon development or something like that.

If you like the PvP aspect in these kinds of strategy games, you can join a multiplayer alliance and wage war against other alliances. The game also features live events that include new storylines and seasonal events that take place throughout the year. There will be more dragons added to the game over time as well. You can check out the game by downloading from Google Play, and view the trailer below.
