REDMAGIC Unveils Massive 49-Inch QD-OLED 4K Curved Gaming Display: 240Hz, Samsung Panel at Cheaper Price

REDMAGIC has unveiled its flagship gaming display which features a Samsung QD-OLED panel rated at a 240 Hz refresh rate & 4K resolution.

Acting as the gaming side-arm of Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Nubia, REDMAGIC has now introduced its brand new flagship display for gamers. The latest panel is a massive 49-inch design which has similarities with the Samsung OLED G9 and the "C49HG90" since it also makes use of a very similar Samsung QD-OLED Panel. This panel measures at 49-inches and is perfect for all ultra-wide enthusiasts.

Coming to the specifications, the REDMAGIC QD-OLED gaming display features a 1800R Curve for immersive viewing angles and a True Black 400 design with a resolution of 5120 x 1440p which is listed as 4K. The display comes with a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut and a 32:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports both AMD Freesync and G-Sync compatible with refresh rates of up to 240 Hz & a 0.03ms ultra-fast response time.

The specifications do make it a perfect display for gamers and even content creators who want the extra viewing real-estate to multi-task without running out of space. The borders are also very tiny and offer an almost bezel-less view. The display controls are located on the front of a panel that is located in the center.

The massive REDMAGIC QD-OLED gaming display also features some unique aspects such as the white-color body with a long stand that can be adjusted, tilted, and even rotated. There are ARGB LEDs on the back of the monitor and it also comes with two 5W built-in speakers and mic support. For inputs, you are looking at HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, and even 90W USB Type-C charging. In terms of the price, it is said that the display would cost lower than Samsung's own offering which costs close to $2000 US.

There will also be a 34-inch QD-OLED variant launching soon after the 49-inch model so stay tuned for more information.
